SAF donate food items to Ekwendeni school of the blind and Walusungu CBO

Ekwendeni School of the Blind

The Sababa Food programme rolled out a donation initiative on Thursday to Ekwendeni School for the Blind and Walusungu CBO.

As a way of demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility and celebrating its first anniversary, SAF donated assorted items such as sugar, salt, soya pieces, cooking oil, bags of maize, washing powder, and soap tablets.

The team was led by our executive director, Caroline Kasenga, marking our first anniversary of successful operations.

This initiative originated from one of SAF’s programmes, the SAF food programme, an initiative that distributes relief items to the less privileged and flood victims.

Mr Hope Jere, a specialist at Ekwendeni School for the Blind, commended the organisation for the timely assistance, saying it will improve the lives of the students.

On the other hand, the founder of Walusungu CBO acknowledged the support provided, stating that it will alleviate meal challenges.

Ekwendeni School for the Blind has over 30 students, while Walusungu CBO has over 80 orphans.
